British country singer Scott Nicholls has teamed up with Savannah Gardner for a track filled with a love for nostalgia. ‘Heartbeat’ is a perfectly crafted example of country-pop: big melodies, twanging acoustic guitars and lush, detailed production that allows this anthemic track to be blasted at full volume. He explains that while “we may not be in the springtime of our lives right now, I wanted to release something that people could remember, that nostalgia is okay.” While his lyrics focus on the warmth of nostalgia, there is something about his crisp vocal lines and the Sia-esque delivery of Savannah Gardner that gives his music that same enigmatic familiarity. -Dan Peeke
